“The Douglas County Human Resource Council (HRC) [was] a not-for-profit group established in 1988 to provide the various human service organizations in the county opportunities to exchange information and coordinate services. The mission of the HRC [was] to facilitate resource and referral networking among service providers and organizations to meet the needs of the citizens of Douglas County.” – 1996 DC Dash Fact Sheet. Through fundraisers such as the DC Dash, the Human Resource Council was able to provide funding for their annual Forum on Children and the Family. The group disbanded in 1998.
